About the Program
Little Fish Early Learning Center is located at the foot of Mount Boucherie, in the beautiful community of West Kelowna, BC.
At Little Fish, we provide a play-based early learning program designed to align with each child’s unique interests and abilities. We strike a perfect balance between structured and unstructured activities, ensuring that every child can explore and learn in a way that suits them best.
Our program includes a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, music and movement, science, math, language arts, cultural exploration, circle time, story time, and outdoor play.
Additionally, we incorporate mindfulness practices into our daily routine, helping children develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a sense of calm. Through simple exercises like deep breathing, guided relaxation, and thoughtful reflection, children learn valuable tools to manage their emotions, focus their attention, and foster kindness toward themselves and others.
No matter where your child is within the age group, they’ll have the opportunity to discover new and exciting things that match their developmental stage and skill level!
About Sonya
With over 20 years of Experience as an Early Childhood Educator, I am passionate about creating engaging and meaningful experiences for young children. Since founding Little Fish in 2009, I have been dedicated to building a nurturing environment where every child feels valued , supported and inspired to grow.
I have a strong background in supporting neurodiverse children and believe in fostering a space that embraces inclusivity, curiosity and creativity. My goal is to design a program that sparks a love of learning. That encourages kindness, teamwork, problem-solving and mindfulness.
At Little Fish, I strive to provide a warm, and welcoming environment where children can explore, discover and thrive.
